Sharp Aquos is pretty amazing, if you can spend $300 or so more you can get a 52 inch, if not then just go 42 inches and youre still ballin.

[/ QUOTE ]

46" Aquos, you'll be set.

Any comments on Sony SXRDs? They were just coming out when I was getting my HDTV a couple years ago and I never got a chance to see one, but supposedly they're pretty sexy.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've had a 60 inch SXRD for the last year or so. The HD picture is awesome and I have no issues with viewing angles. I'd buy it again if I was looking today.

Samsung is the way to go.

[/ QUOTE ]

i'd have to agree with this right now. if sizes of 40-52 inches are ok and price range is flexible i like the lnt4661f and lnt4665f from samsung right now. they have a lot less clouding/ghosting issues than the likes of sony and other models and have 1 to 1 pixel mapping for the pc inputs through dvi-hdmi which is something i really look forward to on a 1080p tv. excellent black levels and good color. from what i've read/seen in the lcd market samsung looks really strong right now. there is, of course, always something better around the corner.

I'm telling you guys, Sharp Aquos, 46" or 52". Hands down, beats Samsung.

My friend offered me the 1080p 52" Aquos for $1800, but I just bought a plasma.

Anyone own one of these and have an opinion on it?

[/ QUOTE ]

i got a 50 inch for exactly 2 grand. as long as you buy all of the nice cables the HD is sweet. and it fills the room with pretty colored light.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you paid more than $20 for an HDMI cable, you got robbed.
