Re: Cha-ching: a successful flip
I dumped the place for three reasons:
1. Yes "season" was running out and the northerners were leaving. The "northerners" weren't much of my business. The businesses owners that thrive on "northerner" business are the ones that are affected. My catering side was going to suffer greatly. The retail/walkin business would not be affected much. Those people work in the area (and aren't hookers). 2. My main job when I moved down to FLorida four years ago was to take care of my grandmother...who has alzheimer's. She is my first responsibility. As her health deteriorates I would have had less time to devote to the shop. 3. The couple that I sold it to were very enthusiastic about owning the shop. Truthfully I could give a crap about the place. I just bought it to flip. |

Re: Cha-ching: a successful flip
Man, threads like this make me realise how much I love poker.
$15k in 6 weeks, I mean props and all and I guess it is big money, but that would be a disappointing 6 week run for even decent lower mid stake players. Also are you in waste management or something? |

It sounds like the sale went down right on the spot. What kind of paperwork is involved in this sale? I didn't realize that people bought and sold businesses without a lawyer or anything. This is very cool, OP. [/ QUOTE ] as someone who works in commercial real estate (abliet much safer locals) this is really interesting... please elaborate OP. Thanks! |
