Default How could I have better played this?

Online 1/2 NL - 5 Players

Hero on Button, Dealt 6|7 off, Calls $2, SB and BB check.

Flop is 3|4|5 rainbow, Hero bets $2, SB calls, BB folds.

Turn is 2, Hero bets $2, SB calls.

River is 7, Hero bets $18, SB raises to $45, Hero calls.

Hero shows 6|7 for straight, 7-high.
SB shows 6|8 for straight, 8-high.

Dammit :-P

I don't see the SB folding at any point, and even if I had bet bigger after the flop and he folded, I would have been kicking myself for not getting value from the nuts.

Any advice is appreciated -- 2p2 ftw!

Raise preflop, bet more on the flop and turn.

Yeah first off I would never advise open limping on the button. Come in for a 3xBB or 4xBB raise or just fold here. As played on the flop the pot is like $6 so since the pot is already small you want to be potting it each street. River looks good. I really hope you improved before you play Phil Ivey HU =D.
