Re: ZOO: be forwarned
When playing and someone suffers a bad beat, I often just typed in 'rigged'. This has often started a big discussion at the table among the fish and nobody goes anywhere.

Poker is rigged forum would be gold. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. It would be a laugh riot. OTOH, the danger would be that low IQ-types might now find the right place to post, and the drama-queen types wouldn't get a big enough reaction to suit them, and they'd be back here. |

Re: ZOO: be forwarned
What about a forum called "retard carnival".
Mods could move any retarded posts there: poker is rigged, how do you play AQs preflop? (without even saying what game we're playing), how big of a banroll do I need to play 1k/2k?, etc. ad infinitum. The rest of us (well, the rest of you guys. I'm sure like half of my posts would end up there) could browse and flame at our leisure. I think this would actually be really awesome. No one could start a thread in the retard carnival, only mods would be able to move threads there. Then we could elect an anual king of the carnival or something, and he/she would get a special title. |

Why doesn't everyone just stop responding to such posts?

Re: ZOO: be forwarned
I don't have a forum of coruse. But if I did have my own forum to discuss poker stuff I would just say in the sticky that this is a place for people who don't care about the 'rigged' or 'unrealistic cards' types.
So any of that stuff will just be deleted because those who are on this forum pretty much agree that it's total nonsense and they are kind of sick of hearing from those who insist they can tell how "different" the games are just by the "cards not feeling right". Jonny - There's a balance that needs to be struck. Sometimes they are really fun to respond to. Other times you just can't help yourself even if it's not quite as 'fun'. And still other times they just interrupt an actual relevant discussion. The seperate threads about it get in the way a little bit but aren't too bad. But when the posts appear in relevant threads that's when they get bothersome. An example would be when different people are sharing negative experiences at FT regarding lag or cust-serv or whatever and then a bunch of people chime-in on how 'unrealistic' the cards are (sometimes sparked by someone who is just joking that they should stop rigging the games). We need a place to keep whining over and over and over about what each site is doing right and wrong without the tin-foil-hat people ruining it for us by being stupid. Speaking of which: admiral's idea is okay, but I like "Tin-Foil Hat Society" as a better name than "retard carnival". I would be fine with either though. |

I always kinda liked the zoo. Usually good, useful content that you can't find elsewhere. Just wanted to let you guys know, that you're turning into the old general forum (good riddance). To prevent this slow decline into ridiculous absurdity, it would be great if the mods would step up and delete 'poker is rigged posts' and the like when they appear. thanks, admiral fluff [/ QUOTE ] This place is fine, have you been to RGP lately? |

Re: ZOO: be forwarned
I'm going to cast a dissenting view. I sort of like the rigged posts here, and I enjoy the response that they get. Or if I'm not in the mood I just don't read it. But I feel like these posts are part of what make The Zoo fun and unique.
