There's also a pretty half decent (at best) movie with Michael Imperioli as Stu Ungar...Not really worth seeing thoughg.

I think they basically found every way possible to [censored] that movie up and make it nothing what it could have been. Also heard they were making another movie called One of a Kind ? Anyone else hear about that ?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think One of a Kind has been optioned, but I don't know of any immediate plans to begin production...

Is the movie ever better than the book? Just read the book kids, excellent value for your time.
FWIW- Nothing can be any worse than the Michael Imperioli movie...

Just an FYI, that's the Sportscenter version of Ungar's story. There was an hour long version that aired on ESPN and ESPN classic once, then disappeared.

I watched this movie last night and it was pretty bad...Imperioli just didn't convince me one minute he was Stuey. It also had very little poker in it. What a waste...someone really needs to go a GOOD movie on him...what a great subject to deal with.

High Roller with Imperioli is one of the WORST movies I've ever seen.

I heard they're going to make another Stu Ungar movie and Anna Wroblewski will star as Stu Ungar, she looks like man and she would be able to pull it off, she is a good player by the way.
