I'm with you Ben. Most posters on this board who give advice/picks to bettors who don't know any better are completely clueless about sports betting. It gets me pissed off, but then I realize that these poker playing donkeys are probably keeping some of these betting sites alive, and also have a means to reup through their poker winnings!!

Ben,

Too be fair. Homer has posted some decent stuff about arbing, news on books, and some information about point values in NBA/CBB. He's made people on this forum a ton of money (myself included). Now its information that is WA, but putting it in the people's hands make it happen.

Don't get me wrong though... I don't think most of it was out of the goodness of his heart.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thremp, you don't know anything about me. Stop ascribing motives to my posts. Stop assuming that every bit of information is widely available. If it was, I wouldn't have had to hold your hand 100 times.

Honestly, with that last little snide "don't get me wrong" comment, you're being a dick. If you think the only thing that motivates me is profits, you're nuts. I've passed along info a bunch of times, to random people over IM, etc, knowing I would get nothing in return (not only nothing, but bashed by people hiding in the woodwork, waiting to pounce).

God forbid someone tries to be a contributing member of a forum and makes a mistake in one of his posts. That automatically makes said person a donk, right? Who the [censored] are you with 77 posts, none of value in this forum, to call me a [censored] donkey? Post anything of value, just once. Then you can call me whatever you would like. It cracks me up that all you [censored] come out of the woodwork only when someone makes a mistake. You are not a part of this forum. Go the [censored] away.

suffice to say, i hate you and think you should be ip banned.

I simply get a new address and continue my mission to expose the phonies and enlighten the idiots, one at a time.

if someone posted helpful info that was correct 99 times out of 100, you'd be there, lurking and waiting to correct with a one-word answer the one time they're wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]

I assume you aren't referring to yourself, since I've never seen you post anything even slightly intelligent.

[/ QUOTE ]

I guess that makes two of us. If nothing else, at least I know I'm not a scammer.

How about everyone stop crowding crockpots great thread?

No one should take any single post as the absolute truth anyways. The other forum I post in occaisionally is Omaha High which also has a small underpinning of regulars and an ENORMOUS turnover. Many of the threads there are full of TERRIBLE advice, but there is also some good advice in there. And as is the case with this forum, I learned by someone saying "you're a moron." Granted I had to sometimes fight to find out why, but being shown you're wrong is the best way to learn.

Now stop crowding this thread. The argument about sportsbetting is over, and it became personal.

Gogogo crock!

Amen.

BTW Crock, you must have a nice following because it seems like I can almost never get down on the same lines unless it's right after you post.

crockpot had already explained why I was wrong (in a polite, civilized manner) before scammer decided to post yet another of his quippy one-liners with no explanation. so no, no one here learned anything from scammer saying "awful".

So cause I only have 77 posts means I haven't contributed anything of value? Check my posts, you'll see the majority of them are calling out the donkeys on this board (which are valuable in and of themselves), but I have made a few posts that the bettor would find of value, in a positive way. Sorry I'd rather make money than post on this board 25 times a day.
