Yuck. I don't like check raising the river here because you get 3 bet by all kinds of crap a lot, a lot of hands that beat you and a lot of hands that you beat. I think bet calling the river is best here. I think check raising with the intention of folding to a 3 bet is not a good idea online ever.

i think thats silly, especially in this situation. you cant make blanket statements like 'checkraisign with intention of folding is never good'. against a predictable player im never getting out of line 3 bet by anything I beat here. what does he 3 bet the river with that i beat here? its absurd.

the only reason i didnt 3 bet/fold to cap on turn is because if he had a q9 type hand and got raise happy i ddnt wanna get blown off the best hand. in retrospect i think thats the best play, because q9 from this guy will never cap, and honestly this is j10 90%~ of the time. one question though, is folding to a cap bad because I have odds to fill up? if thats the case it seems that maybe just check callign river is best, since i really doubt im missing any value anyways.

check calling the river is the best for sure. it would have been better to 3-bet the turn than c/r the river because it seems clear TeamMCO is drawing.

ya but i think it was an a-10/aj type hand because he was a huge fish. either way there are at least two better lines than mine, i was just torn about not getting enough value out of my hand if i was ahead, but also getting out vs. a predictable opponent seemed like the right choice

Putting in that much money and folding for 1 more bet on the river is a losing play in the long run, shorthanded with 2 pair. So many players in that game witll be 3 betting you with hands you can beat you;dbe surprised.

i think some of these responses are simplistic and dumb. i included information on the player, TELL ME SOME HANDS hes 3 betting me with that i beat.

I played it bad, but this kind of input I think is very weak. and no, i wouldnt be suprised, ive played in this game plenty. on the river its 99% im beat.
