Default General PF Q? 99 against 50bb stack RR OOP

This is a situation that comes up often and I never feel comfortable...all options seem pretty close to me.

No reads on villain and he has none on us just for argument's sake.

200nl

Hero opens 99/TT in CO for $7.
Button reraises to $24 with $70 behind.
Folded back to hero...

This depends on villain, if he is only reraising a very tight range then calling with 10-1 implied is fine, against specific light 3 betters you could even consider playing this as a normal overpair postflop, but that isn't really standard.

I think this is a hand you play specifically based on your read. Obviously calling to just hit a set is pretty bad. If you're going to just call, you'll have to stop n' go a lot of the time on the flop.

i almost always use PAHUD to make these marginal decisions. Against a standard reasonable TAG I probably fold. If they have shown any sort of light 3 betting at all or have a PF AF of like over 3.5 for a normal sample size i will take a flop or shove pre depending on if their VPIP is V high or low compared to their PFR. I look to get it in on a safe board depending on postflop tendencies if i call pre.

Well seeing as we have no reads on opponent, we can re-raise all in or fold. With no reads I usually fold here, but if you really want to play it move all in i dont think calling is an option in this spot. He has position on you, and it will be tricky to play post flop.
