calling second barrel OOP
Hi guys, I am new to the forum and play mostly live, but playing more online these days.
SB here was a Short Stack, button and i had 100bb. Button seemed to have a noraml wide button range, but i could not RR as I thought I might not have FE against the SB, and that im sure i could not beat the SB at this time. Having said that, how standard (if it is) is calling a second fired barrel here? http://www.pokerhand.org/?1011843 |

Re: calling second barrel OOP
Second barrel is fine and good, but you should know what you plan to do if he c/pushes.
When he checks river, like he usually does, you can decided if you want to value bet or not, but it's too thin against a lot of guys. River shove was unexpected, probably a good laydown, but he could just be using the scare card, too. Real hard to say with the reads you provided. Try posting your converted hand in the thread, if you want responses. |

Re: calling second barrel OOP
your turn bet seems extremely reckless. what worse hands call? raise a little more on the flop if you do raise (i'd usually just call though)

Re: calling second barrel OOP
His range here is huge, having raised from the cutoff into the blinds. J 10 is possible which would explain his check/call on the turn. But he really could have had anything. Probably a good lay down. You can pick your spots better against a call station such as this.

Re: calling second barrel OOP
thanks, and i will post the hand completely without link next time.
Without knowing the villains tendency to possibly bluff shove a scare card, i figured the fold was std. |
