Thanks for your response. This is actually an ex-girlfriend. I wonder how much effect my dislike had to do with the end of the relationship. I rarely brought it up (feeling that it was inappropriate), but she would constantly. It seemed to really irk her, which I could understand. We actually share many of the same friends and acquaintances because we had known each other years before we began a relationship. So I had history with these two people before we "went out". Anyways, our relationship was quite complicated, and after 2 years of being apart, I still wonder what I could have done differently, and what I did right.
