Re: Bday Gift for my GF
Sooooo you're gonna spend $50 on her gift, but give $20 to someone for a good idea?
Odds of anyone getting paid=.0000000001% (accounting for the fact that he might accidentally fall on his computer and somehow initiate a transfer and type in the right info. |

Re: Bday Gift for my GF
Gifts for $50 or less that I would enjoy receiving from my boyfriend for my birthday:
Victoria's secret sexy lingerie Perfume (would have to be something I specifically liked/wanted/requested) Jewelery - there is a lot of jewelery available in this price range. Maybe something classic like pearl earrings Orchid/potted flowering plant Some sort of sweet kitchen appliance/accessory (because I love to cook) Subscription to a bridal magazine, especially since you just got engaged I'll post more if I think of anything. Hope my perspective helps. |

Re: Bday Gift for my GF
i think the subscription to the bridal magazine is good... along with some chocolate covered strawberries or something. gift cards to victoria's secret are always a good choice too, unless she's the type that doesn't like gift cards.

Re: Bday Gift for my GF
I also like the idea of a subscription to a bridal magazine as at least part of the gift. Then again, she might like something that's totally her oriented as opposed to geared towards the wedding, since that's already going to consume her life. You should have just waited and proposed for her birthday.

Re: Bday Gift for my GF
This is my standard cheap and thoughtful gift, although it does involve baking. Whole thing takes 30-45mins all up.
Ingredients: 1 packet of sweet cookie pastry sheets 1 packet of boiled sweets (e.g.) 1 packet of skewer sticks Aluminium Foil 1. Soak ~20 skewers in water for about half an hour. 2. Cut the cookie dough sheet into shapes of flowers, including a cut out hole in the middle for the pollen bit of the flower. 3. Put one skewer through each of the flowers, forming a stem, and place on the foil and on a oven baking tray. 4. Unwrap the boiled sweets, put in a ziploc bag, cover in a towel, and smash with a hammer. 5. Pack the crushed sweets into the flower's pollen holes. 6. Bake as directed on the cookie dough sheets (usually 8-10 mins) or until crushed boiled lollies have melted and cookie is golden brown. 7. Serve either in a vase, or wrapped up like a real bunch of flowers. |
