Re: How much to maniac? Unusual rebuy structure
Theres a fair bit on standard rebuy tactics in the anthology, but theres no great consensus. Some feel going crazy early to build a stack is a good plan, others think that sitting back and waiting for a big hand against those maniacs is a better plan. Online I use a bit of both tactics, depending a bit on the buy in (far more likely to maniac the 3r than the 22r) and how crazy the table is going.
Personal comfort levels with how much you are willing to lose and how much better you feel with a big stack need to come into it too. In general though, you need to be rolled for at least 5* the buy in, and significantly more if you plan to maniac the rebuy period. This situation was a little unusual in that rebuys were unusually good value relative to the main buy in, but I was pretty badly underrolled for the tournament. |
