i don't understand the premise..... the person by themselves chooses a group. but what's the significance of the group they choose? does that affect their or the groups safety?

and won't melinda and presumably jordin be in the top group. unless they choose melinda as the lone person.

Well according to DI, almost anything is usually possible. Here's what I'd like to see:

"Bottom 3:"

6) Chris
7) Lakisha

Sanjaya picks the latter group. Seacrest says, "America voted, and Sanjaya...you are the one eliminated!"

The group the person chooses is irrelevant. It's just kind of for fun and games.
