It's because online pokerroom are forbidden in france and WPT have one.

The tournament will still be played but not as a wpt.

Party doesn't accept new players from France for example.
But most rooms still accept our fish.

pokerstars have a poker room and ahad recently hosted EPT finals in Montecarlo . Don' tell me Montecarlo isn't in France beacuase i know it , but Montecarlo legislation about those things is exactly same as th french one

That's because they left Monte Carlo and entered France. There was a blog that mentioned a Stars employee having to exit MC via Italy for this very reason.

Monte Carlo does not have the same laws as France.
