Default Re: Does the FT shuffler screw with anyone else\'s head?

I have been playing live for 4 years at least twice a week and have NEVER seen so many action flops short handed as they have on Full Tilt 6 man limit games. Two pair verses boats on the turn, str8's vs flushes, set vs str8's almost every 2-3 hands.. stupidly impossible short handed. We played 6 handed in a casino last night for 4 hours and we were winning with ace high, 2nd pair, top pair sm kicker, etc. not boat over boat, str8 vs quads, set over set like on FT.

It seems there is always a player running real hot at the table... playing any 2 cards and constantly catching. I have been this player several times - playing 5-10, 10-20 running 400 up to $3000 in a day. Winning with almost any junk hand riding the streak. Then the next day, knowing the inevitable, I tighten up tighter than my first girlfriend and get crushed - losing with pocket rockets, flopped sets, st8s all day long just like clockwork.

I feel their games are just like a big slot machine... remember, slot machines are random too but programed to win and lose for the most excitement. Full Tilt is programed for maximum stimulation to hook as many gamblers as possible... "a one armed poker bandit".

There is a simple solution... just do away with constant shuffle (this in itself should raise red flags, absolutely no need for it other for than action manipulation). Simply shuffle the cards at the beginning of a hand like a real poker dealer.

I still don't know what all the fuss about Full Tilt is. I have played live and online at pokerroom (pre-ban), FTP, and now UB. I haven't noticed any difference between live poker and online at any of the sites in my win rate, frequency of "action flops" or "sick beats", etc.

In short, much ado about nothing. Without statistical analysis, these posts are worthless. Show me the numbers. Link to statistical analysis of FTP vs "true random" please.

show us the numbers where they are not action flops and sick beats...its a double edged sword..

Once again someone said something about a post where a person kept track of all statistics on hands for 100k+ hands...i would love to see this

I have experienced this as well. Top pairs, 2 pairs, straights of mine were beat time after time. It cost me a hell of a lot of money. Until one day I realized that FT's shuffling mechanism was to blame.

After that I have changed my tactics: I now call with almost any draw, I don't raise pf with so many premium cards anymore but call with any 2 cards suited or connected.

This has done miracles for my bankroll: I have turned from a steady loser into a consistent winner!

Isnt this how most shufflers work though? Aren't absolute and pstars on the same thing? Or am I wrong here
