The question to ask is how often will he have AQ or Ax that does not beat you?? I fold this everytime and if he is that bad, you can find much easier spots to take his money.

cheers

nice fold man, even if you call I don't think you're ever way ahead especially if villain was that much of a lagtard 45/11/1.8 he would have RR preflop. I am curious about what your stats were at that time, mind posting?

My Stats were Approx. 18/14/2. I did think A8, A9 were a big part of his range here, however villain had AQ. I guess I call next time.

You beat me to it. When I was scrolling down all the responses, patting your back, I was like "OMG push". IŽd say AQ is about the middle of his range for this, and I think he does this with other aces as well.

still a good fold... if he's throwing chips around with average holdings wait until u are stronger than just top pair and stack him

I think you played the hand well. You reraised to isolate the short stacker and got a call from a loose player. I like the lead, and I think the fold is fine. If he is willing to put money in here with A8 - AQ ,89 , 88, or 99 then we will get his money later.

You represented a big pair or AK preflop. At best he had to figure to be a 4:1 dog with a small pocket pair or dominated by a better ace. Take a few note notes on him, and don't be results oriented. IMHO, I think you made the right fold.

Edited to add AK in last paragraph.

With your stats and how he was playing, you've got to find better spots against this guy. Keep making posts so it can help you take the results oriented part out of learning how to play.
