I think a more productive thread would be best book ever read. Im a huge book snob. If I like it Ill finish it in a day or 4 (depending on page count) but if I put it down I will not finish it.

But serious answer I once attempted to read A Brief History of Time. Brutal. A book was written about my grandfather (and later a movie) A civil action. He is the villian in the book.
