Harrahs AC WSOP Satellites
Harrahs AC just announced its schedule for WSOP satellite tournaments. The tournaments will be held in early May, and they include both $300 and $500 satellites.
Did anyone play in any of these last year? Will the fields be softer on the weekend dates or during the week? And finally, would you recommend the $300 or the $500 satellite to have the best chance of winning a seat? Sorry for all the questions, but I would appreciate any advice from those who have traveled this route before. Thanks! |

Re: Harrahs AC WSOP Satellites
well you dont have to ask about last year actually. Caesars held these same events in early March so many people will be able to give you advice on how it turned out. I know the fields for the normal events here like the 300+40 were enormous.

Re: Harrahs AC WSOP Satellites
johnny rocket,
Op has questions about the satellites Harrahs has to qualify for the main event for the WSOP main event in Las Vegas, not a circuit event. |

Re: Harrahs AC WSOP Satellites
A large field should be good, right? More dead money and more spots paid. Is that the way things worked out when the WSOP Tournament Circuit event was in town?

Re: Harrahs AC WSOP Satellites
Satellites usually offer one seat to the main event for every twenty entrants for the $500 buy in event.

Re: Harrahs AC WSOP Satellites
I know that the $500 tourny will award seats to 1 out of every 20, while the $300 tourny will award seats to 1 out of every 34. However, I'm wondering if those who played in these events last year found that the $300 tourny drew substantially more and weaker players such that it turned out to be the better value for the money.

Re: Harrahs AC WSOP Satellites
yea, casears had satellites as well, thats what i was referring to, they had the same schedules, if you are a strong player it is always suggested you play in the one that will have the most entries to strengthen your chances.

Re: Harrahs AC WSOP Satellites
I just checked the Harrah's AC webstite and didn't see (or completely missed) any info on the WSOP satellites. Can someone post the info and/or a link? Thanks.
