I think I play these spots badly, although they should be straightforward. Should I just value bet the turn? What is our plan on a blank river? Block/value bet the river? |

In cases like this you have to read the texture of the flop. If it's draw heavy and your opponent is relatively aggressive and continues to bet, it's worth calling down.
This flop is pretty damn dry. That being said, your opponent is a major donkey, this is why I keep "Fold to Flop Bet" percentages in my HUD. If his is less than 50%, I'm going to assume I have the best hand here. Coupled with his VPIP of 56, he could have a J, but his range is so wide that it's much more likely that he does not. I still like a turn check though. If he has it, you lose the minimum, if he doesn't you let him bluff/"value bet" with a worse hand. |

What do you think about betting 2/3 pot on the turn for information and shutting down on the river unimproved against an aggressive opponent that will often bluff the river? I feel that by checking the turn I am clearly showing weakness and inducing too many bluffs when I am behind against weaker hands.
