[ QUOTE ]
Srsly, if people wanna do silly lowclass stuff who cares. This thread is a giant beat. I agree that good meat tastes better medium and with nothing on it, but A1 is yummy by itself, so whatev. What could be more baller than burning premium beef and slathering it with goo? Oh yeah, A TWENTY DOLLA HOTDOG MFKERS. [/ QUOTE ] That at that new U street place? Is it any good? is it really 20 bucks? most of the reviews I saw said just go to Bens... |

Anyone gone to The Keg? I'm in love with their steaks, but I know nothing about what's "good".

Re: I\'m a steak snob...
[ QUOTE ]
Very rare = very disgusting I can't stand looking my steak standing in a pool of blood, I lose my appetite. [/ QUOTE ]It's not a pool of blood, it's a mix of water and protiens from the meat. Very little blood is contained within the steak. Anyway, the cut determines how I like my steaks. Filet - blue rare. Standing rib roast - rare. Strip, Ribeye, sirloin should be medium rare. Yum. |

Re: I\'m a steak snob...
Kobe is good, it just depends on what ur expecting. Its not going to taste WAY better it just should be more tender.
My last Kobe was a New York Cut which is not my favorite. |

[/ QUOTE ] i've only had it twice, once at Morimoto in philly and it was covered in sauce and could have been any meat as far as I knew. Had it again at Zengo in DC and it was basically seared raw carpaccio style and was so slimy from all the fat that it was pretty gross. Would like to try it in like a rare strip form, no sauce, just to see what the fuss is about for that price. |
