As far as I know, Neteller charges the sites an 8% fee for transfers from Neteller to the site (deposit).
Transfers from the site to Neteller (withdraws) are free of charge.

The high % fee is the reason you can't use Neteller anywhere else than at gambling sites. Nobody else is willing to pay that much. Gambling sites are Neteller's niche.

I thought Neteller charged like 2.9% for merchants? 8% sounds like highway robbery. Oh well, doesn't really matter to me. I'm not a merchant. I can't use Neteller anyways.

OK, Pokerstars has come through. Below is the email exchange between us today. Thanks to Stars for stepping up, thanks to all 2+2ers who assisted me, and thanks to 2+2 for providing this forum for stubborn guys like me to complain (and get help).

Dear Stephen:

Thank you VERY MUCH for clarifying. Thank you for taking the time to understand my view/interpretation of the previous emails sent in response to my inquiries and complaints.

I am glad we now understand each other better. Your policy, as described below, does not sound unreasonable to me, and I am happy to comply. In fact, other than this incident (which I now consider resolved, and in a fair manner), I have enjoyed playing at Stars, and will likely continue to do so.

With gratitude,

Hi *****,

I would like to follow up in regards to your question about the transfers
you received and how these funds can be cashed out. Having read through
your posts on 2+2 I believe that there is a misunderstanding and would
like to help resolve this situation as best possilbe. Our policy is that
the interaccount transfer feature is designed to help players fund
their accounts when they have difficulty doing so otherwise. When you
receive a transfer, it should be for the purpose of using those funds to
play at the tables. Although you did play at the tables, the amount
played is substantially less than the amount of tranfer funds received.
Therefore the funds remaining in your account are categorized still as
tranfer funds and not winnings. Once you play these funds any winnings
generated from that play will be available for withdrawal.

In regards to how much you must play I would like to see enough rake hands
played to legitimately demonstrate that the funds being used for play. We
base this on both number of rake hands played and the total $ amount
risked so it is difficult to give you an exact VPP number where this will
be granted, but I would say once you have roughly 3000 VPP points please
submit to us to reveiw again. It really depends on the type of game you
are playing.

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Elvis:

It did. And to be perfectly blunt, after looking back at all of the contributions on this thread, your response is the least intelligible and most inappropriate. Moreover, your previous response, coupled with your refusal to believe that Stars wrote the email I posted above, belies your unjustified malevolence towards me and your genuine inability to opine in a reasoned, unbiased manner.

And by the way, I'm not a "kid," and I'm not "lieing."

All these serious replies are a joke.

The fact that OP keeps dodging the questions about FPP's is very shady, after he keeps on spouting about "in the interest of full disclosure."

Where there's smoke there's fire people. This guy probably got 6k in transfers, played like 10 hands and tried to withdraw.

Stars handled it in the correct manner, and now OP is trying to use vague numbers to prove his point. Don't lie to us and make it seem like you played a ton. Stars wouldn't just shut you down for no reason.

If you want any credibility, post your VPPs. As you've repeatedly avoided this question for absolutely NO good reason, it's logical for one to assume that you've really played very very few hands. One could also assume that you are trying to launder money and just played a few hands to throw off Stars security, but they caught you anyways.

Saying that it's a "non-issue" is absolutely stupid, because it's relevant. That's just you trying to divert attention from your volume of hands. Didn't realize that there was an easy way to quantify your play, did ya? Whoops!

Don't try to make it seem as if Stars is the bad guy. I'm happy their security is so good to catch tools like you. This is such a typical bs story, everyone in this thread should have caught on the INSTANT he avoided the VPP question.

did you even bother to read the thread? your post is retarded on a mind blowingly wide scale

ZBHorton is a qualified Stars Shill, unsurprisingly he cant remember when teddyKGB's 60 year old mother got accused of being a BOT and recieved numerous condescending emails from stars security. Stop posting for the sake of posting.

JPT - glad things worked out and that Stars either clarified or changed their position on this.
Letting you know how much to play isn't too terribly much to ask although I still think it's hard to blame them entirely because with SO little play compared to the amount of money it really did look like you were trying to get away with something.

The last guy called it a 'misunderstanding' but it sure seems this might have been something they looked into more closely and changed their position on somewhat.

Your an idiot. I've never been paid a single penny by PokerStars, so I'm not a shill. And TeddyKGB's mom's account was eventually released after further review. My point in my message was that I didn't remember anyone ever not being able to work things out.

On a side note, many people in this thread said all along that Stars would let you cashout if you'd play more hands. You denied it like 1000x. Well, there ya have it. We were right all along.

The entire balance in his account is from 4 seperate transfers, from at least three different people. He doesn't even have 1000 FPPs, which I think you can get that many by logging on and farting real loud.

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually you can't - I've been playing on Stars for almost a year and have less that 300 FPPs. However, I play 1.00 S&Gs, and micromicromicro penny ante stakes. And I only play for a few hours a week, which is probably what the OP played...
