Looks like an AIM thread was just bumped.

[/ QUOTE ]

do you guys think there would be value in someone like marty collating a list of people's aims who actually want to participate in sweating in a new thread?

[/ QUOTE ]

i've been thinkin about this a bit but don't have a good answer. It would be nice to have some way to indicate your interested and then a way to "check in" and "check out" when you're available or not.

The multiple participant PM feature of the canned software would've been a decent way with out clogging up the forum w/sweating threads.

Maybe something like setting up a seperate gmail acct? I haven't used gmail much but i'm told you can see if you have buddies logged in. or maybe seperate aim accts? either of those feasible?

i don't need a friend. i need someone to tell me i suck at poker. wait. DrMatt already did that. nevermind.

I know what your saying, and you are right. People don't like "cold calling" others because they don't won't to be intrusive. It would just be nice it you didn't have to guess who was available. But, again, you are right.

i mean chat with people from time to time, then when you want a sweat you see who's online and you IM someone you've talked to before. not "cold calling" a random person--agreed.

I'd like to participate these sessions, but I hardly ever notice these announcements. It also depends much on which network you play and what time. Also I have no idea what this AIM is. If you told the time and place in the announcement it would be easier to participate. Or maybe you did but I just missed it again.

you didn't actually say anything but it coulda been the night you took about 30/40 bucks off me at a 2p2 table. (at least it seemed like you were the main benificiary.)

but i was specifically referring to your comments during the JoeT match. i took no offense sir.
