I like my steaks rare - medium rare, usually towards med rare but depends on the cut. Certain steaks are perfect on their own but others need a little touching up IMO (NY Strip and prime rib come to mind). Still, if you are getting a nice steak, putting A1 or any sauce on it is insulting...DDY was right, A1 on burgers FTW.

Putting A1 on a steak from Outback.

Bad or baller?

[/ QUOTE ]

Usually bad, but I'll condede that it depends on the outback. Outback steaks can range from Ruth Chris to Waffle House quality. They're usually pretty good though.

And I agree that well done is not as bad as A1 or GOD FORBID Ketchup. Ketchup on an expensive steak is [censored] aweful.

I like mine a nice medium. Cooked all the way through so nothing is raw but nice and pink in the middle. mmmmmm. I know eating a raw steak is balla and high class and all but it grosses me out too.

You can have a steak of any doneness charred.

wait, do people actually put ketchup on steaks??

I have never seen it done and quite honestly I've never even heard of it until now.

I hope I'm not being leveled.

I enjoy a hint of catsup with my steak.
This is seemingly a source of embarrassment to some members of my family.

F the haters.

p.s. and these are the same cretins that ruin a baked potato with gobs of icky sour cream. Ugh.
