server performance question

If you set up a offshore dedicated server, should I expect my computer to lag?

I play 12 tables with pokertracker and pokerace.

Any specific requirements for performance related hardware I should request so I get no lag?

at that point it wouldn't be the server specs that limit the performance of the connection, it would be the shear distance and number of hops between you and the server itself.
