The one you don't have to attend so you actually can play poker. I don't think either will help your game at all.

Re: Which 2nd level psychology class to take?
I'm a first year psychology student at the university of amsterdam. I've had the course 'social psychology' and what's called 'persoonlijkheidsleer' in Dutch. It was about the 5 major theories about personality. Both were interesting.
We had an english book for social psychology: http://www.amazon.com/Social-Psychol.../dp/0131786865 IMO you learn a lot of interesting 'facts' and stuff you can see/use in your daily life in the course Social Psychology. In the personality theories course we learned about Freud, Skinner, Rogers, Kelly and Eysenck. But the book was written by the woman who taught it. She enjoyed teaching the subject and seemed intelligent, which made it fun. Although I didn't attend most of the classes. (i edited stuff) also edit: i have no idea if the course Psychology in Personality is anything like what I had. |

Re: Which 2nd level psychology class to take?
I've taken both in my university. DonkBluffer has basically described both.
Personality theory has to do with Freud, Jung, Behaviorism, Humanism, interpersonal theories, etc. BOOOOORING! Social Psych has to do with things we do in our every day lives. What makes people attractive? What techniques work in persuading people? When and why do we conform? Why do all the ladies wanna have sex with XxGodJrxX? You'll learn things like this in that class. |
