Precisely my friend!

A lot of people are calling the music at the end "weird." I don't understand - hasn't the show always had a really eclectic variety of music? I felt like this song was perfect.

Classic episode, these last two eps have been the Sopranos best ever back to back eps I think.

Loved the hit, loved Carmella's anger at the movie, Paulie talking in the movie and making Johnny's death about how much better Paulie is, the director not getting to speak at the premiere, All the hospital/prison stuff (was reminded of the ep where Tony is playing golf with the doctors and lawyers who like to say 'hit' and 'whack' and sound retarded doing it), and the ending was killer.

PS Carmine lupertazzi jr, is going to get it sooner or later imo, the whole conversation about the box, adn tony hating the happy wanderer seemed pretty significant.

I'm gonna miss this show a lot. Melfi calls her shrink on his interest in Tony, he denies it, and in his spare time he follows the mob on tv.

Also, "OJ's no less of a running back, right?"

Best drama in tv history.

[/ QUOTE ]

The first two seasons of The Sopranos stand up to any gangster flick ever made, and are certainly the best TV drama ever. That said, I thought last season was really weird and directionless, and am not convinced they really know how to end this thing. There's too many good characters and plotlines for them to wrap up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Chase has always warned viewers not to expect a neat, perfectly wrapped up ending with every conflict clearly resolved.

Maybe this is the style he has chosen, or maybe it is to leave the door open for a full length feature movie.

At the end of all this, some major characters are going to be left standing and I doubt we're gonna have end credits with "John Blutarski, US SENATOR"-style captions.

With Tony, Carmella and Chris I expect closure. Everyone else? Who knows.

The restaurant where the hit takes place looked awfully familiar to me. Anybody ever eat at Bamonte's in Williamsburg, Brooklyn? Could that be the place?

phil leotardo's speech was probably the best scene on the sopranos in at least three seasons. i can't believe how good this show can be.

there were definitely a few good 'godfather' references in this episode. the last scene at the church makes me think chris is doomed.

also, re: phil saying what a great italian da vinci was. doesn't he know da vinci was gay?

why would Chris be doomed? In terms of getting whacked I think it is a 2% chance.

If you mean "doomed" as in failing @ life, then I think it is a 79% chance.

I hope phil retardo goes on a rampage and takes a lot of guys down w/ him. That would be a great ending.
