[/ QUOTE ] For some reason, this is one of the first movies I remember seeing with my father, and I was pretty psyched when it came on cable, too...Not a great movie, but memorable.

I honestly can't decide (whereas Fight Club was clearly mocking fascism and conformity). Also, the change in tone from the book to the film was jarring...

starship troopers [/ QUOTE ] eh, i'll have to admit that i enjoy this movie. it has some pretty good lines/action/sex...what more could you want? i'll have to admit that i like alot of bad movies. or movies that many would consider pretty damn horrible. when i was younger i really loved Independence day, and even now i still enjoy that movie if for nothing more than nostalgic value. i also have a secret enjoyment for chuck norris movies. they are pretty horrible in their own right, but some of the scenes are so over the top that you cant help but cackle with delight. 'Lone Wolf McQuade' is my favorite norris movie.

Who hates Starship Troopers sight unseen? I've never seen it, but I also don't believe it is horrible. I remember reading decent reviews at the time.

There is a movie called Heavyweights that is a Disney movie about a fat camp. I'm sure people that have heard of it dismiss it. However, it stars Ben Stiller as the insane camp director, and it is truly hilarious. The funny thing is, the DVD cover doesn't even mention Ben Stiller, so I'm sure a lot of people just totally dismiss the movie.
In many ways, he ended up playing the exact same character in Dodgeball , which people seem to like.

[/ QUOTE ] I did too, love this movie, my dad only had a few VHS' when I was a little kid, so I grew up on this, eddie murphy raw, bill cosby as himself, and tons of porn.
