Canadian playing Paradise in the US - possible?
OK, to answer all of the gag responses first...YES Paradise is still open.
I asked in a different thread about a variety of networks, but never got an answer on the one I'm most interested in. I'm travelling to the US next week, and I would like to play at Paradise on my laptop. Do they IP block, or will I be able to play? Anyone done this recently? |

Re: Canadian playing Paradise in the US - possible?
I called them about this and they said they could some how recognize that you were logged in from a US connection and they would not let you play. I have not tested it but that is what they said. Let me know if you find out different.

Bumpity-bump.
Anyone actually have hands-on experience with this? If not, I guess I'll just find out Tuesday night, but it's always nice to know ahead of time. |

[/ QUOTE ] You aren't worried that they will close your account when they catch you? You don't know how lucky you are right now. Take a little advice from an American neighbor and stop tempting fate. Play at a U.S friendly site while you are here or just take a couple of days off. |

[/ QUOTE ] Interesting thought...believe it or not, no, it never occurred to me...I've never heard of it happening to anybody for that reason. Typically the worst that happens is that you are not allowed to log on in the first place. You have given me pause for thought, though...at the very least, I'll email them and see what they say. Your advice is certainly on the safe side and worth considering. |

Email them, if they know you are travelling, they may be fine with it. At worst, they will prob ask for proof of your residence in canada if they notice your US IP.

Re: Canadian playing Paradise in the US - possible?
Got my answer from Paradise (amazingly quickly), not what I wanted to hear:
Hello, Thank you for your e-mail. Unfortunately we can not allow any IP address to play real money in US. Apologies for any inconvenience. |
