if i had a bigger stack, i would fold pf. i limp here looking for a draw because I am desperate and have good odds. I dont know if this thinking is wrong though [/ QUOTE ] i seriously do not know if this is incorrect or not, so I am bumping to get an answer from one of the more learned guys here. |

Loxxii-
If you had a bigger stack and your opponents had bigger stacks, this would be closer to a call. Its like 6-7% of your chip stack. |

I dont know if this thinking is wrong though [/ QUOTE ] I think it is wrong to play this way. The reason you can do this early in the tournament is because the cost of limping is a tiny fraction of your stack, much like the tiny fraction of the time that you connect with the board enough to have a good hand or good draw. When you are getting low in chips in later levels I think you need to conserve every last chip to maximize the amount you have when you find spots to shove. If you call off what is now a decent portion of your stack to limp, the majority of the time you will just be losing an extra .5BB, not creating a draw often enough to make it worth completing. |

OK, so what are the weakest hands to shove in this situation PF? Top 30%? 40%?

After fooling around with some numbers I'm now thinking that the only hands one should complete the small blind with is medium to small PPs, and only when fairly deep. I think I just plugged a leak. Nice hand Kevin, thanks. |
