Anyone ever notice this?
When one player who is generally not considered a huge fish starts making a certain play other players consciously or sub conciously mimick them. For instance if they see a good player limp in sb vs bb sometimes it starts off a limp fest like they weren't sure it was ok to do it but now they've seen it its no holds barred. Was in a game today and noticed this happening and wondered if anyone else noticed anything like this happening?
doesn't really have any practical application I was just curious. |

Re: Anyone ever notice this?
I haven't noticed it, but now I'm going to look for it.
BTW: is this your solution to the "poker is boring" problem you posted about earlier? Look for obscure influences in playing styles? |

Re: Anyone ever notice this?
yes I tried to make a table of 40/80 players play follow the leader even though my play was getting bizarre and maybe downright bad

Re: Anyone ever notice this?
omg yes, especially HU. If you limp the button ONCE they will do it like whenever they feel like it. It's like "oh, it's ok to do that?"
The opposite with bluffs though. Which is masterful. |
