Re: 88 - fight pokah with pokah
I would have folded preflop here. Is that too tight of a move? I would have folded from the flop reraise too. I would think you're probably beat in that spot, or he has two overs.

Re: 88 - fight pokah with pokah
Definitely think you should check, and then reevaluate after button bets and what BB does.
If it's HU, I will probably check/raise, lead. I don't think waiting to the turn to raise HU is optimal, since we've got an edge worth pushing a considerable amount of the time, and can pick it up on the turn with a bet. If BB calls, I think call and then check and see what happens on the turn. |

raise preflop? Not sure about this one in .05/.1 at Stars. I play at stars and you'll get like 2-3 cold calls/blind calls or reraised and be playing for a set in the former and on dicey ground in the latter. I like the limp early. It also balances the dubious limp aces stragety (I dont like to do this unless the game squeeks for the record). if you think he's on overs you can call down from here if the board stays safe. it's possible he has an overpair also, obviously. i think i would have checkraised the flop, personally. I like this. You find out right away where you are at against bad passive players (you can see a turn for 1 more prob. but c/f turn UI), Against lags you get more money with a good hand and you just show down. Vs good tricky players, this is tougher, but then again everything is. [/ QUOTE ] |
