Default NL100 - KQ OTB

I know its 100NL, but I just moved up and I am still a uNL type player. I find these hands tough to play/extract value etc...hope discussion will help players about these thin hands. No reads

I really like a call here, I realize it's a really small bet, but if you raise, you're getting a lot of hands to fold.. and if you fold, you're losing a lot of value from retards.

I think, barring a 4, A, 6 on the river, I call pretty much any bet.

I'd raise. His check call is suspicious to me. I'd rather raise now and have him fold than for a safe river to come and for him to make another small bet.

It's a safe board for him to extract with a set.

Call turn. Need more information on the river, lots of different scenarios but I probably call any river, bet if checked on a safe river and check behind if a straight falls.

I call here always, but have really started wondering recently if we are basically just saying to an observant player "I have a marginal K here". This could allow him to shove any scary river and push us off the best hand.

That said, do villains bluff like this often? Are they that observant? No idea.

Your right. This is what we say. And if the stacks were bigger and the villain was good, this would be a terrible move. But with this stack against ur usual microstakes viallin this is the best line.

I don't bet on a safe river if he checks to me.. I'm happy to see a showdown.

Hmmmmmmmm. Well, if you just called turn and river came 7d and he shoves, you probably think "bullsh*t" and call.

Alternatively, maybe you think "oh-oh, he has trapped me and my marginal K is ng" and fold.

I think at the moment I myself would do the former, but want to improve so I do the latter.

FWIW, the infamous "raising for information" (boooooooooo!) could have saved you some monies on the turn if you'd repopped to say $30 and folded to the inevitable push.

Poker is hard.
