the tightest player at the table... you called his shove quickly? I think you can get away from this, but it would be alot easier if you bet the turn like most people suggested

I wouldn't worry about AA in this spot. If he shows me that then more power to him. Although he did show a pretty strong hand with his small bet. Really felt like a pot massage. On the other hand, he could be probing. All that to say--I go broke there also. The dark check is attractive sometimes with small pairs and AK but I still think its not much of a +EV in most games. I guess if you had bet out on the flop or raised on the turn you could've gotten a little more info but it still would've been a tough fold. Better luck next time.

Nope, you just got unlucky. Deepstacked, you might get away from it, with an M of 15 or so, no way.
