I think that if he was slow playing a higher pp preflop by limping, he would have reraised you when it came back to him. If he had the case Q he would have to had raised on the flop to protect from the flush draw. Checking the turn would not have been a good idea IMO but a little larger bet would have been nice. The only thing that spooks me is that with his turn bet be has committed just over 2/3 of his stack to this hand. But I still think you should have pushed instead of folding.

Let's say he's got AA or KK 50% of the time (which is a lot, very unlikely). And let's say any QT+ is in his range. Then excluding any 5 he could have you're ahead of this range, if he plays a PP > than 5 the same way:

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

1,892 games 0.005 secs 378,400 games/sec

Board: 5s Qs Qh Qd
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 56.977% 55.81% 01.16% 1056 22.00 { TcTs }
Hand 1: 43.023% 41.86% 01.16% 792 22.00 { KK, JJ-66, QTs+, QTo+ }

Adding in a couple of 5's here will put you further ahead. His AF is worrying, so if you think he would just call down with 66-99 then the fold is fine. But if this is his range then shoving is margianal, but good. Checking behind for "pot control" is bad since it can only lead to bad things happening, overcards might make him a better hand, or might scare him off a worse hand. Same applies for just calling the turn raise. Folding or shoving is both decent, though I lean towards shoving.
