Re: Can i simply toss in another video card to my XPS 410?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I haven't installed any drivers, i believe that the current GeForce7900 drivers take care of that, right? [/ QUOTE ] No. [/ QUOTE ] Meaning i need to install another driver to operate concurrently with my 7900 driver? I had thought a new one would replace the 7900, creating obvious problems... How do i add a new driver without damaging the old one? |

Re: Can i simply toss in another video card to my XPS 410?
Nvidia uses generic griver packages for most of their models. If you have a Geforce, you download the same driver package for almost all the models. With that said:
Install the new card and hook all 3 monitors up. when u boot up you should only have a picture on your 30'' screen when u get to Windows. Now to install the new drivers you can do it through device manager or with the executable that is available on the manufacturer's site. Go here if you kept the Nvidia card: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp Then you can run the exectuable that you download from that site and it will install the new driver. Then go to your display settings and expand your desktop across the 3 monitors. |
