Stinky problem - need a solution

In my regular Friday night game there is one guy who just has some wicked BO. It really puts me off my game, it is impossible to concentrate sitting next to him. What can i do? If he were talking i would put in my mp3 player. I need ideas and fast - my game is in 6 hours.

Have you tried just saying something to him? preferably privately, in a somewhat delicate manner.

I don't know the guy very well so it is not my place to tell him that he smells like ass all the time.

Some one must be friends with him. Have one of them talk to him. I'm more than comfortable telling my friends they smell bad.

Actually, it is. It's a hygiene issue.

I had this same exact problem. When I confronted my guy about it he claimed he was allergic to deodorant. I told him not all deodorants were created equal and he should try some of the hypo-allergenic types. I was kind of annoyed as this guy was like 50 and should know how to shower by now. He also had the WORST breath in history.

Eventually, he just stopped coming to our games. THANK GOD.
