I don't know what you were thinking. I saw you play a few hands on FT, doing hit and runs on Ivey and Brian Townsend. I think you got drunk on winning all that money and failed to see the weakness of your strategy.

I can see why you thought you could beat these guys. Forcing the showdown by going allin before the flop takes away the pros advantage of his finesse and greater level of experience. Then, it's just about who has the better hand.

What you forgot I think is that this is just pure gambling. Sooner or later you're going to take a big hit. The difference between you and the pro is that the pro can weather a 60k loss. They have earned the cash to play at that level. I saw Phil Ivey lose over 200k today. He'll probably be back tomorrow with 200 more.

You didn't really beat these guys, you just gambled with them and won some money. You can't play high stakes poker with cash you can't afford to lose. I mean, are you kidding me? These guys are mostly millionaires and blow more in a day than most people will see in 10 years. Even if you think you're as good as they are, which I will not comment on, the cash needed to play with them is a huge barrier of entry.

I'm not saying it can't be done. I'm saying that it's like trying to start a fire in a hurricane. That said, I sympathize with your loss. I wish you the best of luck.
