Re: How do you feel about playoffs
The irony is that the EPL could well be decided by a Match between 1 and 2.
I think it would be incredible drama if ManU and Chelsea squared off in 3 competitions, with them deciding each others respective fates in the FA cup final CL Final and a massive game at Stamford Bridge. If Chelsea snatched all 3 from the scums grimy paws it just couldn't get any better. |

Re: How do you feel about playoffs
Since there's no Serie A thread...
AC Milan just snuck past Palermo into 4th in Italy. Lazio is probably safe in 3rd and Palermo's hard fall lately makes it likely Milan stays in 4th. |

"The Uruguayan striker fell on the ground and proceeded to wrap both legs around the ball and then drag his body and the ball over the line."

Re: How do you feel about playoffs
btw I agree that a league system doesnt absolutely show which is the best team BUT everyone is forgetting that there is an FA cup and a champions league, etc.
The winner of the league is just that the winner of the league, there isnt an absolute winner in english football. For instance Liverpool is the classic example of a team that does very well in cup competitions but always finishes like 1828282382738328382828382823828383 points behind in the league. |

[/ QUOTE ] actually, liverp**l isn't the classic example of a team like that, only recently has that been the case. They have won three more league titles then ManU. ManU have won more FA cups by a wide margin. of course, your lot have won 5 european cups compared to our two |

Re: How do you feel about playoffs
by classic i meant like the typical club that gets mentioned as being a team for cups nowadays. On english football is rather difficult to have a consisteny history since it has like a lot of years( i wont say 140 because like none of the team that dominate football nowadays existed back then)
Btw I prefer the format of 4 competions instead of a playoff system winner takes all. |

Re: How do you feel about playoffs
I really like the system England has, especially with the three other tourneys thrown in. I would love to see the NFL play some arbitrary number schedule of regular season games with two knockout tourneys thrown in the mix. It would be sick.
