Villian is Gatsby777. Not much info but he limped early in lvl 4 so he probably sucks.
I think I have the best hand on the flop and want to protect it, no? On the turn any kind of a bet will commit me so I put him in. Is he really drawing to a J? Arent you sort of bloating the pot with a very weak hand?

If betting on the flop, I'm doing it to try to take down the pot with a hand that is weak, but has some showdown value if called, not "to protect it". When called, I'm shutting down-turn I check fold unless he's doing something rearded like mini betting

Your flop bet is ok imo although debatable. But after you have been called you need to shut down unimproved.

I'd probably check the flop and go from there. This is a real problem hand, so I just make a plan not to get too attached to it.

So the consensus is to not get involved with this hand?

3 handed I like the flop bet. After it's called you have to shutdown.

Weaker villains will limp PP's so you arent always ahead on flop.
Anyway, If you were HU, flop bet would be better, but Im not sure i like it 3 way necessarily. After getting called on the flop, I think youve got to give villain credit for at least some kind of hand you dont fare well against. |

WTF why should he shut down when called? I'm not sure if I like the flop lead but once he bets the flop the turn is an easy shove.
