Im pretty new to PLO omaha. Is this a cooler or shoud I have laid down this hand?
I didn't have a strong read on villain, as i moved to the table about 10 minutes ago. I also didn't like my flop-raise, but whatever happened, I think we were both getting our money in anyways. I think he gave his hand away with the raise. Especially if he doesn't raise much, I would be really worried about AA/KK. I think another option would have been to flat call the flop and then see what he did on the turn. Then if he was raising with 6789 DS and bluffed the flop, he would likely have given up on the turn as you had position. Obviously this would give the nut flush draw a free card, but the chances are that 1 opponent doesn't hold this and anyway you have 2 hearts which cuts down the odds of a heart on the turn.

im not crazy about the pre flop call, as this is just the type of situation you can find yourself in with this type of hand.
post flop is a little more interesting tho - what i like to do in these situations where im probably 33/66 that my set is any good, but the board is scarey is just flat call - then when the scarey turn/river card comes and he checks you have a chance to take the pot off him. some players like to rerasie there sets here to 'find out where they stand' but the way i like to play you lose the same amount of money, and it gives your middle/bottom set the chance to beat top set. for this to work you need a solid read on your opponent of course in this hand the only thing going for you is position - use it |

I agree, I didn't like my raise on the flop |
