Default 20/40 and just going along for the ride.

20/40 online, currently 8 handed and a very good game.

UTG +1 is unknown and looks to be terrible. He keeps buying in short for about 5BB and is cold calling three preflop with hands like 78o.

Button is an unknown.

SB is a bona fide maniac. I once saw him run $600 up to $6500 and then back to $0 inside of an hour in shorthanded 20/40 game. He could play any two cards any way, any time.

I raise A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG
UTG +1 calls
Folded to the button who three bets
SB calls
BB folds,
Hero call
UTG +1 calls

Pot: 6.5 BB

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Checked to the button who bets
Three calls

Pot: 10.5 BB

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked through

River A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB bets
Hero calls
UTG +1 folds
Button calls

Probably standard, but it seemed unusual (and felt weak) at the time. I figured AQ was fairly likely for the button and wonder if anyone might fold the river here?

Then raise the river. SB may have a worse A, and if you get button to fold AQ (it's hard to call 2 cold there with just a pair, given the obvious Broadway and potential 2 pairs on board) then you've just stolen a huge pot by putting in 1 extra BB.

I considered it but I was unsure how an unknown would react and the SB is a complete wild card. I didn't want to see a 3 bet from the SB as I'd have to pay it off. I might've been then in an extraordinarily big pot (up to 22BB) without the likely best hand and possibly priced into a call.

With two behind me yet to act plus the SB I figured it would be a bit too much of a shot to take with AJ. I just don't know if that's weak or sensible.
