Default NL 100 - Turned Ahi flush, playing it like a girl....

Another hand similar to the one I just posted with my Qhi flush situation...

Villain in this hand is @ 16/2.2/1.9 over 550 hands...I have notes on him that say; "Sometimes will get tricky with big pairs" "Slow plays frequently his large hands" "Folds to c bets easily"

i push this turn. more likely he has a J and put you on AA instead of hearts than he has a boat.

I think my reasoning was that I really can't put the villain on any J here, he isn't the type to call a raise from the blinds with 10J-AJs... At the time I honestly put his range on 88, 33, JJ-AA ...

I could see him playing a boat or an over pair just this same way...

i agree with your thinking on the turn, thats how it looked to me. But his river bet contradicts all this, and is screaming for you to take the rest of his chips.

Could you explain what you mean when talking about his river bet? It seems like a fairly difficult bet to decipher.
He could want a raise with this kind of smallish bet. Of course it could be a blocking bet too. But I think I would just call here.

the $23 river bet seems unlikely to be a raise inducer with a boat. he just raised the turn representing strenghth, so he wont come back and fake weakness on the river. A boat would try and get more value on the river. Therefor, i would get all the chips in the middle as you've got him beat more often then not.

Just my opinion.

Turn bet sucks. Bet at least $18.

As played, I probably just call down. If you think his range does NOT include many jacks or flushes, there's not too much value in raising.

His river bet doesn't mean a whole lot to me. A lot of mediocre players are afraid of making a larger river bet because they desperately want to get paid off and don't want you to fold (not realizing that a much bigger bet is +EV).
