Ok. I admit it, I have a problem.
I just can't keep my mouth shut when i'm playing online, i'm a pretty decent winner at mid-stakes, but i already have a reputation for berating, so i need to change that asap. I have tried, blocked the chat box etc but nothing seems to work. Not only am i acting like a dick, scaring away the fish and building a [censored] reputation for myself, it's cutting into my win-rate when multi-tabling. fwiw, i almost never tilt, just get very angry. Is that normal? Anyone got any tips on how i can tackle this? cheers **winces in anticipation of the flaming this thread is gunna get** |

maybe you should keep in mind that the fish are the ones you want to be nice to, because thats how you make your money.

I know how you can stop this problem.
Just stop doing it, how hard is that? Ya sure, I'm tempted to berate a fish, or at the least make a sarcastic comment or two in the box. This is behavior I expect from losers or people new to the game. I HATE it when a big fish sucks out a hand or two, gets berated then quickly leaves the table with a big stack. Why even risk scaring away dead money, it's foolish. I see guys like you online every day, and I just shake my head. So have some self control and STOP this behavior. |

Without these guys I might have to get a real job. There have been times where I've convinced fish to stay, they have said they were going to leave, and I've make comments like "you should keep riding out your hot streak" "you can't leave now while your hitting everything" etc. Often times they stay, & give alot back to the table. |

Suppose you go fishing, but each time the fish get close to taking the bait you start yelling at them, "You stupid fish! You are a moron! How could you do that!!" The fish, of course, will swim away when you start yelling at them, and if you keep yelling they will stop coming back at all. If you don't do this when you go fishing, why would you do it when you play poker? |
