Default Post your Gym induced injuries

I thought I'd start this thread to see what we've all done to ourselves down the gym. If anything it might be able to stop me doing anymore crap to myself that keeps me out of training for days/weeks/months.

Mine:

Lower back - Deadlifts, increased weight while simultaneosly increasing my range of movement. So yeah, fully deserved my lower back giving in and me having to sit down for half hour without moving at all. Pain lasted for 2 weeks then seemed to get better so nothing permanent.

Knees - This is the big one. Increased my squatting weight 15 months ago and have never squatted since. Felt fine at the time, I was good for 8 full reps. Im the morning I couldnt walk down the stairs. Felt pain at the bottom of both kneecaps and any leg based exercise (sports) aggrevated it. Apparently I have a patella abrasion and now only light weight work is possible for me on my legs and Leg Extension is a no no.

Lower Back (again) - Just this week while Leaning back to do decline chest press while holding the dumbells as I always do. For some reason this time my back just went again, however 3 days on and its feeling better.

Im sure you'll all have some more interesting ones than mine.

Blah

Bad lower back one last week doing squats. Pinched a nerve or something. Was getting better, then a week later I bend down to get something from the fridge and my back seizes up. Couldn't bend back up, had to go lay down. Getting better again now, not exactly sure how much I hurt it. Doctor on Friday.

Nothing besides soreness and slight overtraining, shin splints from running, etc. Most of my injuries are from sports, mainly baseball.

I have a friend who once saw the blood vessels in someguys nose just explode during squats. The said guy just continued his workout getting blood EVERYWHERE. Pretty nasty and stupid really.

It doesnt have to be current injuries, stuff from the past counts too.

I cut the front of my shins up doing deadlifts. Dropped it after lifting with shorts on and I had the octagon shapped 45's on it instead of the round ones and it bounced back into my legs.

I had a pretty nasty injury while lifting several years ago that was caught on tape.

LOL slickpoppa. This is the classic "why you wrap your thumb when you bench" :

I've never had any major injuries in the gym. Lots in other sports though.
