OK, I've read all of the posts and the forum seems pretty divided on this issue. I think a lot of the people posting that this is an insta-call clearly don't understand that 300 BBs is a lot of money regardless of your roll. It's much harder to make this call when actually faced with this spot because you know you can find a better spot with this guy. I opted to fold and villain did not show. I ended up stacking him with a flopped set all in against his flush draw for a $275 pot. I'm not trying to be results oriented, but I just think if I were faced with the same spot I'd fold it out again. Thanks for all of the replies.

I think you're missing the point. I'm very well rolled for $50NL, this is not at all the issue, but I think my edge here is likely small and I can find a better spot.

You do realize that this hand is not 300BB deep, right...

What is the discussion. Put a range in poker stove, see if you're +EV.

If you want to make this discussion interesting at all. You have to give us an idea of what hands he plays what ways. for example, when u took big pots off of him. did u ever call a $100 all-in...blah blah blah.

I explained this in my origonal post, and clearly I havn't called his $100 all-in based on our stack sizes. Also, I am 300BB deep, though I am aware villain is only about 250BB deep; I don't think this really matters that much, Brian. I could post a list of the hands we were involved in if that would make this thread more interesting.

i wouldnt be risking my money in this situation.. wait for a better situation as you seem to be outplaying him by taking huge pots off him...

"He has made several $100 reraise plays on me both preflop and postflop."

This makes this such an easy call.

I played with a guy like this last night, I made a few calls like this too. Sure it is high varience but this is an easy call, I'd definately put him more on a medium pair than KK/AA.
