Re: WPX- no rake- what\'s the catch?
Rake isnt any bigger than anywhere else. You just get ALL of your rake back. And multitabling one creates insane amounts of rake. With 25% rakeback on a crypto site I would have doubled my winnings (70K in one year) if I had 100% rakeback like wpx offers. It would be real great if more people started playing there. The biggest downside is there are not that many players there yet.

[/ QUOTE ] just click the poker link... Yes, the whole thing is done by the site itself, no affiliates. And, to back-up the guy who made >50k in 7 months - according to WSEX they average $5k-$6k a week in rakeback to the highest volume players. I doubt those players actually play that many hours, I think I could manage it easily if it wasn't for that pesky day job! |

why no listing on bonus whores ? [/ QUOTE ] Because WPEX does not give cut to any affiliate no one lists them. And if such model would get more popular affiliates would lose their business. It is 100% legit. Only problem is that they don't have many bad players. I suggest trying yourself. |

But how do they make money? [/ QUOTE ] They are trying to draw/lure players to their Sportsbook by offering No Rake poker. Their Sportsbook is large & profitable so they can afford to offer 100% RB. As others have said, the RB is entirely done through the site (no affiliates). They put your RB into your account each Monday. I played there off & on for a few weeks but the games were positively dead with few fish to be found. At prime time there is maybe 1000 players logged in (maybe 1/2 in play money tables) so there might be only a couple of tables going of the level you which to play. The RB potential cited in this thread is real, however like I said the players are mostly solid regulars with such a small player base. This isn't surprising as the fish or gambling type players aren't likely to be aware of WPX, and they are equally unlikely to be aware of just how much the rake eats away at potential profits. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is totally true. The players are definatly better as a whole than any other site on the net. (from my experience). The games are very aggro (I play limit 3/6-10/20). Also, the website does not allow programs such as PAHUD. PT works, but does not track stats of other players. This keeps a lot of multitabling TAGs away from the games. The rakeback though is great. If you can even break even at the tables at wpex you will make a ton of $$. |

The only problem is overlay (which can be easilly substituted by notes). [ QUOTE ] This keeps a lot of multitabling TAGs away from the games. [/ QUOTE ] I think it's for better. It keeps the games looser (if it's possible there). |

[/ QUOTE ] more than that. New fish play micro-stakes = they don't pay rake. And little sharks follow the fish. No little sharks = no easy money. The other site affiliates spam the forums with offers. As there evidently isn't any interest in promoting them it's up to the players to promote WSEX. It's that easy: wanna fish there? Spam the forums. But not the 2+2. As you want the fish it's practically worthless. Or even contra-productive. |
