Re: NL100: KK on a paired flop against an awful player
You gave him a chance to play perfectly and are only hoping he is retarded enough to not do that.
He has not heard of whatever the rule is that says your shove is a bluff I think so he won't really think on that level to put you on AK and call with 77 or smth. At least stackadonk turn or smth. |

Re: NL100: KK on a paired flop against an awful player
He's raising into a bettor and a caller with one behind on a paired board with a preflop raiser and a few callers?
You must have an amazing read on him, and if he doesn't have a J or 44, he has balls and sucks -- or has some kind of read on you. I'm giving this one up, especially with so little invested. Also, why didn't you raise the weak flop bet? |

Re: NL100: KK on a paired flop against an awful player
Noodle, I know it seems counter-intuitive but this is a fold against a 90/30 even though hes obviously a huge moran. There are just so many Js in his range that we cant really continue profitably without a read that he will play something weake than a J this fast postflop. If you have that read then just call the flop and let him keep bluffing/value-betting a worse hand because he either has you destroyed or he has 2-3 outs.

Re: NL100: KK on a paired flop against an awful player
i think he just leveled you guys. obv, (not TOO obv,) this post was a huge brag, because even fish can fold on this flop. let's see...4 players on the flop, no draws, a lot of action...
i guess he had QQ? |

Leveling is pretty much retarded, and the idea that everything is leveling is the single worst thing to happen to 2+2.

Re: NL100: KK on a paired flop against an awful player
You not raising the flop bet (being the pre-flop raiser), gave him a sign of weakness. Therefore here was his chance to steal the pot? $31 is a big raise, so he atleast had a 4. If he had a J I think he wouldn't of want to scare you off and slow play the rainbow flop. He is the 2nd big stack commiting over half his stack. Any high pair, he would of raised pre-flop.
My guess Q4? |

My guess is he either had 6's or 4d5d.

Re: NL100: KK on a paired flop against an awful player
Against a player this bad I don't mind this all that much, especially since the other players are out of the hand by the time you have to call the big bet. I prefer to call Mr. Ultra-LAG's flop raise (although I prolly raise the initial flop bet, hand plays more straightforward that way) and let him bluff the turn with air that he would fold to my flop shove. Maybe I can fold to an A on the turn. If turn bricks and he has a J I'm gonna be paying off a 90/30/2 every time.
I think folding the flop against this (extremely horrible) player with everyone else out of the hand is pretty bad and am surprised to see people advocating it. |

Re: NL100: KK on a paired flop against an awful player
the only thing his preflop range tells you is that he can have literally any J down to J2. Certainly hes not a good player but we need some other sort of read to know that he would go this nuts with air in a multiway pot.
