I think the "poker" they are talking about is Video Poker, Jacks or Better, Double Bonus, etc. I don't think they even mean e-tables.

What this is talking about are those craptastic machines like they now have in the Seminole casinos, a step down from the Class 3 slots that have recently made an appearance.

Not sure how you interpreted poker and bj out of this.

Seminole "could" raise the stakes and add blackjack without a change in law by the FL legislature.

The laws on this subject are unclear to me, but I know that it is possible and has to do with the state having a deadline to negotiate with the tribe ... the state ignored the deadline, to my knowledge, and now the tribe is working with BIA to expand gaming, including blackjack and poker.

So, while the OP might be full of baloney, don't go troll on him either. I'm going to maintain hope and write some letters.

Senate Democratic leader Steve Geller, of Cooper City, said the video lottery machines mean "vast amounts of statewide revenues," estimated at $900 million to $2 billion by 2010. It would be earmarked for education.

"It's a boatload of money," said Geller, who sponsored the bill. "The state needs it right now."

FWIW, my friend is a dealer at the Melbourne poker room in Florida. She said they will soon be adding 2/5 limit to their poker room... They're currently only spreading 1/2...
