Default Why do sites host no DP tables?

Why do sites host tables with no disconnect protection tables? Are there people who feel that DP is abused so heavily that they would prefer a table which does not offer it at all. (therefore also potentially harming themselves.)

Just curious

I have had people who probably weren't cheating disconnect on me and gain an edge. That is annoying, and probably the reason for nodp.

I find that everyone's connection seems to be much better on these tables. They must somehow boost the signal.

I think no DP should be standard for NL and PL tables.

I almost never see anyone "disconnect" in those games pre-flop, nor when they're folding crap cards with no draw.

Disconnect protection on Party's NL/PL tables is heavily abused. I regularly report individuals who disconnect at times where it's obviously intentional (ie: facing a very large bet with a marginal holding or a draw). I'd say 75% of the individuals I report Party writes me back to say that they found that individual doing that on multiple occasions in tough spots. Party then removes their disconnect protection permanently.

If I have a stable internet connection that is unlikely to disconnect me, by all means I prefer playing on tables that don't have DP. Frustrating to no end to not get paid off when you should or get sucked out on by a guy who didn't wanna call off his stack on a draw, yet couldn't stand to lay it down (ie: he pulls the plug on his internet).

For limit I don't mind having tables with DP, but at NL and PL tables they should all be no DP.

Some sites don't have disconnect protection simply because their software isnt sophisticated enough to support it.
