I have two modes of dress, tracksuits and jacket/sweats like you have in the OP, that I wear day to day, and then the clothes in my "nice" closet, that consists of slacks/suits etc. there is really no in between for me.

yea, i like looking sketchy and having a hood sometimes though.

[/ QUOTE ]

the 7-11 a block away from my house now requires that you take off your hood before entering. I went to get some tortilla chips when i realized i would need them for the nachos i was making, walked in with my hood on and was told to take it off. i was kinda surprised but too hurried to care. Ever since there has been a sign on the counter asking people to take off their hood.

nation,

"i've been really really feeling the zip up hoodless jackets"

How old are you?

I'm wondering what the appropriate age is where you should stop "really really feeling" stuff and stop "rocking" clothes and shoes.

Anyway, as to the matter at hand, I've never been a big fan, except when worn as athletic gear (ie: track jacket when heading out to the soccer field on a cold day).

When I see people wearing this stuff, I think about 90% of the time it looks really silly, but the 10% of the time it works it's a really great look. Most of that 10% is either eastern european dudes or black dudes.

El D-

What do you suggest as an alternative to these for casual jacket wear? i personally really like them, and recently purchased several in an attempt to bring my jacket style a little bit closer to my age (it was getting kind of awkward going out with friends when i was wearing a hoodie looking like a 16 year old skater)

El D,

I'm 22. I think this stuff looks great on me.

Any suggestion for online discount clothing stores with decent selection (not just track jackets)?

This is how I roll...

I have them with & without hoods. Some button up, others zipper.

They're track jackets, and yeah, they're pretty cool. Most of them have too much [censored] going on for me to wear them, but I can find some decent LRG jackets.

The last windbreaker I bought.

I LOVE lrg. I've seen a ton of stuff by them that fits exactly into my style...only problem is $100 for a track jacket is out of my price range

I don't understand why there should be an age limit for these phrases?

What do you think of the windbreaker I posted? I'm certain it's nothing you'd wear, but I'm just curious.

$100 is a small price to pay to look as sharp as brotha or an eastern European.
